Massive Sunday Funday to come today, with some percentage against your name up for grabs if the mood is right. The Bombers and Giants will have pristine conditions at the Etihad Stadium, while the Swans will attempt to negate without their usual ruck options at the SCG. The results from these two games could shake the competition to the core if the results break away the way we all expect it too.
Max Gawn $8,900
With the Swans left without Tippett through injury this week and coming up against arguably the best ruck man in the competition currently, the going will be tough all over the ground today. Coming off a career best game against the Pies last week, Gawn will be hard to stop if he is on in Sydney. This would be close to an absolute lock if their was any doubt.
James Rose $3,500
Only the two games for Rose in 2016 so far but with the opportunities he has been handed he has taken them in full flight. The nippy small forward has been averaging 6.5 tackles, 14.5 disposals and 6 marks in a side that has never had any scoring issues in the front half. Big opportunity to continue to cement a spot in this Swans side that will be hard to break into come finals.
Lance Franklin $8,400
Buddy will definitely look to break the shackles from any defender that comes his way this Sunday. He is having an absolute stellar year to date, the former Coleman medalist has 43 goals already to his name in 2016 and would surely be eyeing a bag. Averaging 18 disposals, Franklin will look to get on his bike and break the game open early.
Dylan Shiel $8,900
The strong midfield of the GWS Giants has been monstering opposition of late and Shiel has led the way with plenty of solid performances. Averaging 28.6 disposals and 3.3 tackles has helped his average 103.4Fp grow with each game this season, but against a Bombers side searching for answers Shiel will look to break out the middle constantly for four quarters.
Christian Petracca $4,700
The young midfielder for Demons has had a solid start to his career after a slow start due to injuries and niggles. Averaging 18.9 disposals and 3.7 tackles early on but against a Swans side he will need every bit of his tackling pressure he can muster up. The ball won’t be easy to get out there, so every opportunity on the ball will need to be taken with precision.
Luke Parker $8,800
Parker has struggled in recent weeks to get back to the early form that had his name in the Brownlow ring, but back at the SCG today he will certainly look to bounce back and repay the faith. Look for Luke to push forward against the grain and hit the scoreboard where it counts. The Demons have been known to tag a player here and there but i would be surprised if anyone moved onto Parker unless he is on early.
Zac Williams $6,800
The young defender has taken a tough task on board in 2016 and has responded to the whole team lifting this year to another level. Averaging 21.7 disposals and 3.2 tackles has been pivotal in the confidence of Williams, but his running game off the back line has been prolific and against the Bombers there should be plenty of rebound opportunities to be taken.
Heath Shaw $10,100
Shaw is having another solid year across the back with it seeming unbelievable that he could take his game to another level as the Giants look to play finals. The pricing of Shaw is hefty, although the risk verse the reward for him against the Bombers is almost nil. Averaging 22.8 kicks and 9.5 marks out of defence is no easy task, but if they’re not careful the Bombers could be in for some trouble from Shaw.
