This match is pretty much do or die for both sides, with both sides sitting on just two wins from the tournament so far. It promises to be a very entertaining encounter from start to finish. See our fantasy tips below.

Big Bash | Stars vs. Strikers

Brad Hodge – $8,000

He’s the best Adelaide batman and has scored 204 runs in 5 games so far this tournament at an average of almost 40. His lowest score to date is a 27 and whilst his strike rate isn’t as good as some other batsmen, he has got a strike rate bonus in every match so far.

Kevin Pietersen – $7,200

Scores of 15, 60 and 73 so far from the talented South African at a very good strike rate of 162.24. Once he gets going he is exceptional to watch and with the Stars needing a win he will likely step up to the challenge.

Ben Dunk – $5,000

Pretty straight forward decision – Ben Dunk opens the batting for the Strikers and is batting at an exceptional strike rate of 175.76 and has only failed once so far this tournament. Sam Harper has made just 5 runs in 4 matches.

Kieron Pollard – $6,000

Whilst he has been very disappointing so far this tournament, Chris Jordan is out with a hamstring injury and Billy Stanlake and Travis Head have been called up to international duty. This opens up more opportunities for Pollard who has only bowled 1 over in his last 4 matches and is yet to really fire with the bat. This should be his time to shine.

Ben Laughlin – $6,400

He’ll be the major beneficiary from there being no Chris Jordan, Kane Richardson or Billy Stanlake in the lineup and will have to carry the youngsters as the experienced #1 bowler. After a very average opening match, he has hit back with 4/52 off his 10 overs.

Wes Agar – $3,000

Ashton’s little brother looks in a great position to make his BBL as the Strikers really lack any other pace options. In his five Matador Cup matches this year he took 8 wickets at an average of 32.12 and had an economy rate of 5.82 – so the raw ability is there for all to see and at a bargain price he looks excellent value.
