We kick off round two with a classic rivalry for the ages. Football fans everywhere will be salivating at the prospect of the quality game this could be.  All eyes will be on some key match ups and tactical decisions from both coaches.  Dusty will be one to lock down, Fasolo’s influence will need to be limited and how much dash can each team generate off the half back line for the respective teams.  If the opening round is anything to go by then round two is going to be an absolute scoring feast. AFL Fantasy Tips

Toby Nankervis $5,700

After a solid hit-out in his first game for the Tigers, Nankervis will be pivotal if Richmond are to have any chance of beating the Pies.  Against the Blues he managed 27 hit-outs and was effective running the ground.  Chipping in for two goals and proving his dominance with three tackles.  Grundy won’t let any easy football be won as he will look to take it to the new Tiger’s ruck.  One to watch as a coach as he is short priced at $5,700 with plenty of options to spread the salary elsewhere.

Ben Reid $6,500

His body has looked solid early on in the season and his form is matching where his body is at.  No matter which area of the ground he is playing, his intercept marking puts him in a position to score.  Against Richmond he will need to move the football by foot.  High intensity for both teams will put plenty of pressure on marking, disposal and scoring efficiency.  Still being early in the season it will be hard to decipher whether it will be all or nothing for certain players at the beginning of the 2017 season.

Jack Riewoldt $6,600

A solid performance in the first game of the year, he will be looking to run riot on the Magpies defence.  He will need to work hard off his opponent and get out on plenty of long leads.  If Collingwood aren’t careful the attributes of Riewoldt will be damaging up forward and could result in a bag of three or more goals.  With all the confidence currently surging through Richmond, it can only cause a positive knock on effect for the players alike.

Dustin Martin $9,500

The man, the myth, the legend!  He had a belter of a clash against the Blues in round one and although all reports indicate the Pies will be looking to lock him down, how do you.  With his disposals by foot, tackling and goal scoring ability he is a prime scorer in the midfield.  He is a high priced midfield option but if you can squeeze some quality rookie picks into your team then Dusty should be a certain lock.

Tom Phillips $6,200

Young Collingwood midfielder has been working hard during the early parts of the season.  Priced only at the $6,200 mark he is a handy option that can generate a quality score.  He produced 26 disposals and 4 tackles in week one against the Dogs and will look to continue the form into the clash tonight.  With Varcoe out of tonight’s line-up, Phillips should look to take advantage of the space and run riot.

Steele Sidebottom $9,000

With a narrow loss in week one the Pies will certainly be looking to bounce back in a big way.  Bitter rivals with the Tiger’s they won’t want to back down from the fight.  Sidebottom will be a prolific ball winner all season but I want to see him rack them up and dispose effectively against Richmond to hammer home a big score.  Priced at $9,000 again he will need to squeeze into your team, but he is definitely work the risk.

Jeremy Howe $7,200

High flying defender is a sneaky pick for any coach in the back-line.  Coming off 26 disposals, 11 marks and 3 tackles in week one he is looking very solid.  Can go in and out of games at times but if the Pies can get their tails up early then they will be able to utilise his marking ability as an advantage.  Not very expensive as an option and in defence he becomes an absolute steal wherever he plays.

Nick Vlastuin $5,900

Playing a lot of round one against the Blues across the forward line and midfield.  Is a defensive option for Moneyball and this works into plenty of people’s favour for points scoring.  He already looks to have a solid know how when it comes to ball movement, positioning and we already know he has an immense work ethic.  Look for Vlastuin to dominate around the ground and at $5,900 the risk to reward ratio is very high in the Tiger’s advantage tonight.
