One of the greatest rivalries in the AFL in recent years.  No form for either team could dictate the outcome of any contest between these two.  Geelong are looking to remain undefeated while Hawthorn are looking to kickstart the season with their first win.  Only time will tell on Easter Monday who has what it takes to take the game head on and ram home four points. AFL fantasy tips:

Zac Smith $6,100

Although he has only played the one game for the season so far, the giant Cat always manages to look the goods.  With the third man up being scrapped the floor is open to Smith to hammer home an advantage in the ruck.  He has shown plenty of potential and will look to push forward and around the ground to find plenty of the ball.  A high intensity game will work in the favour of the Cats and Smith.

Ryan Burton $7,000

Burton is a young player early on in his career, Burton has been a stand out.  Averaging 21.5 disposals, 6.5 marks and 4.5 tackles he is scoring well with his lowest score of 82Fp.  Not long until the competition realises the potential he can bring to the great game.  If the Hawks are to put it to the Cats, the unknown names like Burton will need to hit home an advantage where possible.

Daniel Menzel $6,900

Since returning from injury he has opened the 2017 season with great form.  If he is able to push up the ground and generate positive ball movement his scoring will rise.  Menzel is able to generate points with disposal, marks and his goal prowess.  Not much has been able to stop Menzel early on in the season but the Hawks are not one to mess with even considering their poor form of late.

Will Langford $6,900

Hawthorn midfielder Langford is typically a run with type player for his team.  He will likely be given a task on Easter Monday to lock down a midfielder of Geelong to negate their impact on the contest.  The good thing about Langford as a run with player is he still manages to find the ball.  For a midfield option he is reasonably priced for the type of input he can produce for any willing coach.

Mitch Duncan $8,900

Duncan has started the season off well and looked much more consistent in the midfield helping Dangerfield and Selwood.  Averaging 27.3 disposals, 6.3 marks and 5 tackles is where most of his points scoring is generated.  Geelong can’t afford for Duncan to take a backwards step today and will rely on him to become a link player to the forwards.  A high pressure game is just what he needs and he will thrive in the thick of the action.

Patrick Dangerfield $10,600

Cometh the man, Cometh the moment.  His first game for Geelong last season was one of the biggest debut games that i have ever seen.  He will look to dominate the game with plenty of metres gained, lots of the ball and hit the scoreboard in a positive fashion.  Bodies will be thrown at Dangerfield to slow him down but he will be strong enough to break through and score well even for his price.

Ricky Henderson $7,500

New Hawk Henderson has been solid in the early part of the season.  He is finding plenty of the football in defence for the Hawks and with others around him struggling he is managing to score well.  With an open style to the game the scoring could prove to be massive for the likes of Henderson.  Reasonably priced at $7,500 he has plenty of room to reap the rewards of a big score.

Zach Tuohy $6,800

New recruit for the Cats has started his career with his new club well.  Geelong couldn’t ask for much more from their new recruit in the back line.  He is reasonably priced for a defender and in his first contest against the Hawks for his new club he will run riot.  All bodies will be on the line in this one and running out of defence will be just what the doctor ordered.
