What a fine start to the weekend we have had, 2 great games have been played already, including the competitions first ever Good Friday match-up. Todays shaping up to be just the same with some quality match ups taking place, here are our AFL fantasy tips to get you started.
Jake Spencer – $4,700
With big Max Gawn out for what looks like 12 weeks, in comes a ready made ruckman in Spencer. There was a lot of speculation around the Demons going into this season with a 2 pronged ruck combination with the form Spencer showed us throughout the JLT series. However with Gawn out i expect Spencer to put up some solid numbers which could match young Preuss’s numbers.
Christian Salem – $6,800
Salem has shown us repeatedly this year what he can do when he is fully fit, He has some serious speed and uses the ball incredibly well so his teammates love using him coming out of the backline. This is what the Demons always knew Salem could produce and this is why they stuck with him through his injuries.
Tom Williamson – $3,500
Williamson played his debut match last weekend against the bombers in terrible conditions, but what that game showed me was that he is super clean with the ball. For a rookie to control the ball in the wet the way he did, he is one for the future. Coming up against the Suns one would expect the ball to be coming towards him quite often.
Marc Murphy – $9,400
Murphy seems to have shaken all his injury plagued days out of his system and has come back playing some quality football. Murphy has been averaging 136.3 fantasy points through the first 3 rounds and doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down this week, Murphy has definitely thrown his name back into the elite midfield category and we are loving it!
Clayton Oliver – $7,500
Oliver is continuing to wow us with the way he is playing football this year, i mean come on, he’s averaging 122.7 fantasy points over the first 3 rounds. Oliver is coming up against a Fremantle team that managed to defeat last years premiers, however coming down to the MCG the Dockers don’t have that much experience playing there. It will be a great contest and will be looking forward to seeing Oliver going head to head with Fyfe.
Brady Grey – $5,400
Grey came into the Fremantle side last week as one of the 6 changes to their squad and what do you know they get their first win of the season. Grey seems to be a player who throws himself at every contest at 100% which is what Ross Lyon loves his players doing. We will be looking forward to seeing what Grey produces this time around.
Taylor Walker – $7,000
Tex Walker is definitely leading from the front as captain, he is just too big and too strong for most of the leagues defenders. I just don’t know who from the Bombers is going to be able to stop him, he can kick a goal from anywhere inside 60 metres and he makes it look so easy. The man take a great contested grab and will definitely be kicking a few goals.
Jayden Hunt – $6,300
For some reason we can use Hunt up in our forward line, but i’m not going to be complaining as he gathers a lot of the ball out of the backline and using his run and dash out of the defensive 50, he has some serious jets when he gets going. Hunt is also not afraid of pushing up the ground on one of his dashes out of the backline.
