It’s Good Friday and we are in for one great day of fantasy NRL. The Bulldogs kick it all off as they take on the Rabbitohs followed by the Knights vs Roosters and to cap it off it’s big bro vs little bro as the Broncos battle it out against the Titans. Here are my NRL fantasy tips to get you started, good luck!

Bulldogs v Rabbitohs

I’m predicting this game will be a high scoring, close fought affair. Neither team has proven themselves to be defensively strong.

Hooker

I seem to avoiding Michael Lichaa ($7,000) every week but that’s only because he seems to struggle to prove his value. I’ll be running with the cheaper option in Damien Cook ($5,600).

Forwards

Adam Elliot ($3,500) is the clear value selection here and should be considered by all coaches. Angus Crichton ($4,900) has been named in the starting side and will bring a heap of value to your team. I’m going to take the gamble on Josh Jackson ($7,700) because I think he can crack that left side defence.

Half

I won’t be afraid to fork out the big bucks on Cody Walker ($9,800) this week. He may be $3,000 to $4,000 more than the other options but I think he’ll be in for a massive performance.

Outside Backs

We’re very spoiled for choice when it comes to the outside backs this week. I’m going to throw the two fullbacks into my side (Brett Morris ($6,800) and Alex Johnston ($6,400)) while also going with the value pick in Marcelo Montoya ($4,000). It’s hard to pick the bottom dollar option in Braiden Burns ($3,500) when he struggles to crack 20 points.

Knights v Roosters

This game should be a lot closer than most would assume. I’ll tip the Roosters in a high scoring match.

Hooker

I’m usually a huge fan of picking Jake Friend ($7,400) in my side. He’s a very reliable choice although I can’t help but lean towards Danny Levi ($4,300) who produced a similar output to Friend last week.

Forwards

I think it’s a good idea to save some of my cap by choosing Josh Starling ($4,900). He scored 20 points last week and should be able to do the same this week. This will allow me to grab Boyd Cordner ($8,600) and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves ($7,100) who both provide consistency and a good base output. Corder will have a good shot at cracking the Knights’ defence too.

Half

Luke Keary ($6,900) easily has the best form average and won’t cost you too much to bring into your side. I’ll definitely be running with him.

Outside Backs

The absence of Latrell Mitchell means Joseph Manu ($3,900) will get another crack at centre. I’ll be getting him in for my value pick. I won’t be able to resist the most expensive option in Michael Gordon ($7,700) either. The Roosters should score well against the Knights so it’ll be beneficial to have their goal kicker. I think Daniel Tupou ($7,300) and Blake Ferguson ($7,200) should also be considered due to their scoring potential this weekend.
Broncos v Titans

I think we’d be very naïve to assume the Titans will put up a fight here. I’ll be tipping the Broncos to annihilate the Titans by at least 30 points.

Hooker

Nathan Peats ($7,100) hasn’t had any recent game experience so it’s an easy choice to run with Andrew McCullough ($8,200) this week.

Forwards

I don’t want to fork out too much for my forwards this week. There’s a slight chance that base stats will be limited due to the high number of points being scored. Ryan Simpkins ($3,800) and Chris Grevsmuhl ($5,300) are the two cheapest starters and I’ll be tempted to select both for my team. Matt Gillett ($7,400) and Sam Thaiday ($6,400) should also be considered as they both tend to get involved in attacking plays. I’d rather spend my cap in other positions for this match up.

Half

I’d be willing to pay almost double of what Anthony Milford ($7,800) is priced at this week. He’ll be having a field day against the Titans and should score his highest score to date.

Outside Backs

There’s no choice but to load up on Broncos’ outside backs for this match. The two cheaper options in Tautau Moga ($4,900) and Jordan Kahu ($5,600) have as much chance to score well as any of the more expensive options. They’ll be first picked for me. I’ve also liked the look of James Roberts ($7,300) in recent times. I think he’ll score a couple of attacking stats and easily prove his mid to high range price tag.
