Two thrilling Friday night NRL match-ups as the Raiders battle the Sea Eagles live from GIO stadium, then it’s the Rabbitohs vs Broncos in what is sure to be an exciting attacking game of footy. Here are my NRL fantasy tips.
Raiders v Sea Eagles
Both teams have had a good start to the season but I’d have to tip the Raiders at home in this match. Either the Raiders will pile on the points or it’ll be a low scoring affair.
I’ll be running with Josh Hodgson ($7,100). He’s hit some great form and I think he’ll find the try line against the Sea Eagles.
I like the look of Junior Paulo ($7,100) who’ll provide my team with steady base stats for a reasonable price. Martin Taupau ($8,500) is a more expensive choice but I think he’ll be hungry for involvement after missing last week’s game. Joseph Tapine ($5,500) seems to be a solid option that won’t break the bank, I’ll be considering him as my cheaper option.
Blake Austin ($6,000) will likely be my half of choice but I’m finding it hard to ignore Aidan Sezer ($4,400) who showed some impressive form last weekend.
Joseph Leilua ($9,300) has been the most impressive outside back and he’ll be first picked in my side. I can’t bring myself to choose Jordan Rapana ($11,600) who is carrying a leg injury but Jarrod Croker ($8,900) could be in for a huge total against the Sea Eagles. Nick Cotric ($5,400) has been struggling but I’m willing to take the risk considering his low price.
Rabbitohs v Broncos
The Rabbitohs have been playing fairly well but I think the Broncos will be too good. I’m backing James Roberts to continue his try scoring form.
Andrew McCullough ($8,300) will once again be my hooker choice this week. He is very consistent and is always looking for that try scoring opportunity.
Angus Crichton ($5,500) will be my first picked forward. He’ll be playing in the starting pack once again and shouldn’t disappoint. I won’t mind forking out the big bucks for Josh McGuire ($8,200) either. He is a base stats machine and will keep those points ticking over. Matt Gillett ($7,800) and Sam Thaiday ($6,600) should always be considered due to their reasonable price and attacking involvement. I’ll be throwing one of these guys into my side.
Anthony Milford ($8,000) was incredible last weekend and he shouldn’t have a problem working his magic against the Bunnies. He’ll be my half choice.
Siosifa Talakai ($4,200) is my pick among the cheapies. He seems to be more involved and isn’t capable of scoring as low as the other two. Tautau Moga ($5,300) continues to provide value while James Roberts ($8,000) has to be picked due to his epic form. We may be able to save some of our cap in the outside backs this week. There are plenty of cheaper options on offer.
