ATM – Banker $$$
Hammer – Consistent scorer
Biscuit – Gotta risk it, to get the Biscuit
Hammer – Toby Greene $8500
Back from a 2-week stint on the sidelines for suspension, Greene is looking to repay the Giants with a good performance today. Averaging 85 fp as a small forward kicking 20 goals this season and with Devon Smith out for 2 months, allows Greene to be isolated small forward for the Giants. Should have a good afternoon against the Tigers.
Biscuit – Kurt Tippett $6200
Tippett finally recalled back into the team with an injury to Sam Naismith, the tall forward had a standout performance in the reserves. He’ll probably play a key forward most of the day but can be an extra ruck if needed. With the lesser ruck, stocks of the Saints could be exploited by the Swans. Should bounce back into form.
Biscuit- Ivan Soldo $4300
Back in for his second game of the season, a solid 75 fantasy points in his first match. A different set up with Nankervis in the lineup may seem him play majority forward as a tall option and pinch hit in the ruck. A cheap option who could snare a few goals.
ATM – Dayne Beams $9400
Rockliff out Beams in! Not many teams can make those decisions at selections. After two weeks off with a quad injury, Beams comes in on the back of 104 fp average and a rough midfield match up against the Crows. A head to head with Sloane is on the cards and the Lions midfielders generally all score well so Beams should be no exception today.
Prediction: 128 fp
Hammer – Lachie Whitfield $7500
After an 8 week suspension, Whitfield came straight back into the team and didn’t look out of place – 97 fp, 25 touches, 6 marks and 4 tackles, and with Coniglio out Injured, it could allow him to improve his scoring capabilities.
Prediction: 102 fp
Biscuit – Hugh Greenwood $3800
The first game of his career, a dual sports product who used to play in the NBL and College Basketball, has impressed in the reserves with his skills and tackling pressure and this including Scott Thompson on the same team is saying something about this guy. Looks to be a genuine playmaker and good runner. Worth a punt against the Lions in a potential blowout match.
Prediction: 67 fp
Hammer – Heath Shaw $8500
Who would’ve thought by round 9 Shaw would only be $8500, started close to 10k at the beginning of the season, hasn’t quite hit his best form but is thereabouts the 100s, averaging 85 but form of 95, could be a good game to get off the chain and pick up cheap kicks.
Biscuit – Daniel Howe $6500
Averaging 63 FP and coming off his best game of the year, 21 touches, 10 marks, 3 tackles and 1 goal scoring 103 fp. With injuries to Birchall, Stratton, and Frawley, it could be a massive positive for his game. Cheap price, worth a punt, Pies have a small forward line which helps.
