This should be a very entertaining match which could go either way. I’m predicting a high scoring match that’ll be decided by just a couple of points, NRL fantasy tips.
Damien Cook ($6,800) and Cameron McInnes ($6,300) are both performing well for their NRL clubs and are regularly hungry for involvement. I can see both of these players trying off the cuff plays from time to time as the NSW Origin hooker spot is currently up for grabs. McInnes has been producing exceptional base stats in recent times so I’ll be running with him.
Hame Sele ($3,500) is the clear value choice here. He’s priced at bottom dollar and will be running on with the starting side. I’m going to ignore the more expensive choices in Paul Gallen ($8,600) and Jack De Belin ($7,600) as I think the forward rotation will slightly hinder their base output. I like the looks of some of the mid-range options in James Tamou ($6,400) and Dale Finucane ($6,700). They’ll keep the base points ticking over and won’t take up much of your cap. It may even be worth looking at some of the bottom dollar bench options in Pauli Pauli ($3,500) and Daniel Alvaro ($3,500). These guys could easily justify their price tag if they manage to play 25 to 30 minutes.
Cody Walker ($8,800) is the most expensive choice in the halves but I think he could score very well in this contest. He hasn’t been too impressive lately at club level but he’s been kept quiet by quality opponents. Bryce Cartwright ($8,100) is the other expensive choice but is also capable of scoring a monster. I’m not too keen on the cheaper candidates in Tyrone Roberts ($6,500) or Chad Townsend ($5,800). These two could be kept very quiet in this match and may even fail to crack double digits.
There are two mid-range options that immediately catch my eye. Tyrone Roberts ($7,100) has been very impressive at club level and I’m backing him to cross the line at least once. He’s a very slippery player that’ll be hard to handle on Sunday. Clinton Gutherson ($7,100) is the other outside back that’ll make my team and it’s largely due to his form at club level. He’s played a variety of positions throughout the season and has handled them all well. I seem to be leaning towards the top tier players in other position so I’ll probably need someone like Brian Kelly ($5,000) or Anthony Don ($6,000) to keep under the cap. They’re both capable of great scores and they’ll allow more of our cap to be spent elsewhere.
