Fans of AFL everywhere will be salivating at the matches we will served up today.  Some pivotal contests to shape the eight and others that will impact a teams season with one foul blow.  If you haven’t already cleared the afternoon to sit back, relax and enjoy the football then you better start planning.  Big names in the AFL will go head to head, certainly not one to miss.

Josh Jenkins $7,900

The big man for the Crows has been in some fine form in recent weeks as we work our way to the pointy end of the season.  Averaging 13 disposals, 5.5 marks and 26 goals to his name this season so far.  His last four weeks has been prolific as a ruck options as his lowest score has been 98Fp.  If he is able to work the ground and impact the scoreboard, he will be in for another big score today. AFL fantasy Tips:

Alex Fasolo $6,500

Collingwood have struggled up front at times throughout the season, continuity has been hard to come by.  Fasolo has managed to average 13.1 disposals, 5.9 marks and has 25 goals to his name this year.  If he is able to get good service coming into the forward line from his midfield, he will be well utilised and ensure a handy score.  He isn’t one of the more expensive options today, but definitely one of the more reliable at his price.

Isaac Heeney $8,700

Young Swans forward has worked his way into the season since his return well.  Currently averaging 22.2 disposals, 5 marks and 5 tackles from his 11 games in 2017.  He is priced at $8,700 but in a contest against cross town rivals GWS all the game play will be hard fought.  Heeney will look to be a bright spark for Sydney, as he attempts to break the game open for his side.

Hugh Greenwood $5,400

Looking at one of the cheaper options for today’s games.  Greenwood has stepped into senior footy and found his feet quite quickly.  He is short priced at $5,400, averaging 15.7 disposals, 7.8 tackles and 5 goals from just the 5 games this season.  Scores may not be huge for the young Crow but for the price he is listed at you can’t go wrong with Greenwood.

Matt Crouch $9,400

The Crouch brothers have continue their form together in 2017.  This week I like the value of Matt at $9,400 after averaging 31.9 disposals, 3.1 marks and 4.1 tackles.  In a tough midfield game against the Demons, it will be playing right into his wheel house.  Around the contested ball he will need to break through the pack and find plenty of footy, in which I believe he is fully capable of.  Another lock in player for todays contests.

Patrick Dangerfield $11,400

Dangerfield is having another standout year for the Cats and his scoring shows this in a big way.  He is high priced but against the Hawks he can boast some big scores.  Averaging 31.6 disposals, 4 marks, 5.7 tackles and 27 goals this season.  In the last 6 weeks his lowest fantasy score has been 116 with the highest 156Fp.  If there is a lock in player that squeezes under the salary it certainly is Patrick Dangerfield.

Rory Laird $8,800

Speedy defender Laird has had another stellar season in 2017.  Averaging 31 disposals and 4.6 marks from half back is an excellent way to score big points for himself.  Against the Demons the game should be quite open and free flowing allowing Laird to play his natural game.  He is high priced for a defender but well worth any risk taken on by a willing coach.

Jeremy Howe $8,300

After being rested with tightness last week,  Howe will step straight back into the side against the Suns.  The high flying defender has been marking anything remotely in his direction in 2017 and doesn’t look like slowing down.  Averaging 21.9 disposals and 8.8 marks per game and his scoring reflects all the impact he has on the contest each week.
