What a weekend of footy we have had so far and its just going to get better during todays matches! If the footy is half as good as it has been so far this weekend we’re in for a treat this Sunday afternoon. So without further ado, here are our AFL fantasy tips for this Sunday Funday Special.
Sean Darcy – $4,200
Darcy has come out of nowhere playing some great footy for Freo and has been incredibly competitive in the ruck for them ever since Freo lost their 2 first choice ruckmen, at just $4.2k i expect close to everyone to have him in their team. Especially coming up against the Eagles depleted rucks.
Jeremy McGovern – $7,300
Their is one thing i’m truly going to love about this derby and that’s seeing Gov back in defence taking intercept mark after intercept mark because let’s be honest, Freo do bomb it long quite a lot, which is Govs bread and butter, look forward to a big score from him!
Luke Ryan – $4,400
Ryan has come into the side as a mature age recruit and he has impressed me with the way he plays the game and his ball use thus far into his career, i expect the ball to travel Eagles way a fair bit so he will hopefully be seeing a lot of the ball in his hands throughout the game.
Bryce Gibbs – $11,500
Gibbs is really going to have to stand up this weekend with Cripps out for the rest of the season, Gibbs has already been in fantastic form averaging 127FP in recent weeks, but would really like to see that increase and have him really knuckle down and get to work against the Tigers. Should be a real big score coming from him.
Kane Lambert – $8,300
Lambert has made his way back into my team as he has really been playing some fantastic football in recent weeks averaging 120FP, which is huge for someone priced at $8,300, he is a tackling machine and plays through the middle which is where this game will be won and lost, so i expect him to go big in the tackle count once again today. Truly see him getting 100+ today.
Alex Witherden – $4,700
He keeps producing great scores this kid does, sets you back $4.7k and is averaging 85FP, he’s a lock into just about every team in the competition, don’t try buck the trend, put him in, save the cash and spend it elsewhere!
Toby McLean – $7,300
McLean has had a bit of an up and down season so far, which truly does match the form of the Bulldogs team as a whole, however with recent star players being down for the Dogs, it’s continued giving guys like McLean extra time through the middle of the park and it is doing wonders for him, probably one of the dogs shining lights in recent weeks with an average of 105FP.
Blaine Boekhorst – $5,300
Boekhorst is back into the lineup this weekend after really impressing in the VFL last weekend with his 32 disposal effort, coming back in after the injury to Cripps, so will be interesting to see if he is used in more of a midfielders role this time around in the lineup, i’m taking the punt that he will be and it should simply just do wonders to his scoring.
