It’s another Friday night of football and we are at the business end of the year, we have teams fighting for pride and teams still trying to secure their place in the top 8, with the dogs definitely within the pack trying the secure their place, they find themselves 8 points behind the Giants so a win here will definitely see them bridge that gap and further increase their chances of September football. So here are our AFL fantasy tips for this Friday nights pearler!

Bulldogs vs Giants Special

Rory Lobb – $5,900

With the Giants losing big mummy through suspension and not naming their back up ruck in Simpson, it’s looking like the ruck duties will rest solely on Lobbs’ shoulders, this will be great for his scoring as it will get him in and around the ball and the contest a whole lot more for him to be more involved in the game than he has been in the past, he is an incredibly agile big man, so should see him run Roughead around the ground and pick up some cheap possessions.

Shane Biggs – $7,600

Biggs has really had a strange season, being dropped due to form several times and having to claw his way back into the team, it’s now looking like he is back to playing the football that the Dogs knew he could and has a 3 round average of 106FP, he is the pricier defensive option today but for a solid score you gotta spend the money.

Phil Davis – $5,100

Davis will have an interesting day today playing on either Redpath or Cloke, take your pick as to which one, probably both throughout the game, but i believe he is a great defensive player and will get the better of both those guys and take a handful of intercepting marks for us to just add to his score, with the lack of any real cheap options today Davis is one of the more consistent in what he will produce.

Stephen Coniglio – $9,000

Coniglio is back into the lineup for his 3rd consecutive game, he really is a great ball winner and user of the ball and is a tackling machine, he has cracked the ton in the last couple matches and don’t see that changing anytime soon, for a guy who you know will definitely produce that healthy score 9k really is not much to pay.

Lachie Hunter – $8,800

I feel like Hunter has the right to just wonder anywhere he likes on the ground as any true winger should, you see him popping up in the forward line for a nice cheap set shot at goal or you see him in the back pocket receiving the cheeky side ways pass, regardless of who he plays he finds himself among the bigger ball winners on the ground. Look forward to seeing if he steps it up against a quality opposition.

Bailey Williams – $5,200

Injuries have really helped Williams come along this season playing in the best 22 for the Dogs, he’s a hard nitty gritty type of player who has been getting better and better with each game, again for a game with very minimal cheaper options i expect most people to have Williams in their team.

Jack Redpath – $6,000

Redpath is a great cheaper forward option who provides multiple leads and has a great pair of hands on him to take the ball down, he is also a great long straight kicker so give him a set shot from anywhere around the arc and he is definitely a real chance to put it through for a goal, for 6k he seems cheap as chips to me so get him in.

Lewis Young – $4,100

Young played some great football in his first 2 games of the season has hit a bit of a blip but i am hoping he can regain some of that form he showed in those opening 2 matches, for 4.1k you can’t expect the world from him scoring wise, but it would be nice, coming up against a quality Giants outfit hoping he see’s enough of the ball up forward to make a mark on the game.
