It’s Round 23, the final round of the home and away season for 2017! Will we see a whole bunch of drama unfold, who will run away with the Coleman, who will be taking the last few spots in the top 8, so many questions, so many possibilities, we truly cannot wait to find out what this season finally leaves us with. So without anything further, here are my AFL fantasy tips for this final round of football.
Keegan Brooksby – $5,200
Brooksby stays in the line up with injuries still keeping Witts and Currie out of the Suns lineup, this is a big plus for us during this stage of the season as it gives us the option of selecting a cheap ruck option once again who can give us a good solid score, he comes up against a real tough opponent in Ryder, but even so i am expecting a solid 65+ scoring output for him.
Matt Scharenberg – $6,600
Scharenberg continues to impress playing at AFL level and it is great news for us as he is still coming in at a very affordable $6.6k, a player who is averaging 96FP in recent weeks that only costs $6.6k, i believe he will be included in just about every team this Saturday but that’s only because he is playing so well.
Trent McKenzie – $5,000
McKenzie came back to his old self last weekend, picking up a ton of the ball and using it extremely well especially off that powerful left boot of his! Scoring 109FP last weekend against the Dees, he comes up against the Power this weekend, both the Dees and Port do have similar play styles so this should hopefully see McKenzie just explode once again.
Joshua Kelly – $10,400
Kelly just keeps delivering us big scores with the tags constantly going to Shiel i expect the same to happen once again with Selwood playing the lock down roll on Shiel and Kelly just doing his thing once again, he is one of the more pricier players this round but he has shown in the past he can produce those huge scores, with a recent average of 123.7FP, i for one am happy to include him into my lineup.
Sam Menegola – $9,100
Menegola just keeps producing the scores that make it difficult for us not to consider him in our team, so this week i have decided to chuck him in as he has been so consistent with his scoring that i just feel he will give us at minimum a solid 90+ fantasy points which will do just fine for me, he is a smart footballer who knows how to find a lot of the ball and he is also not shy of laying a tackle or two in the contest.
Alex Witherden – $6,700
I personally thought Witherden was supposed to be out for the Season, but he has come back into this Lions teams and i believe it is a great inclusion and one that will only strengthen the Lions, when he came into the Lions side he never looked a foot out of place and really put himself firmly into the Lions best 22. He finds a lot of the ball and uses it well, for a first year player he hasn’t skipped a beat and for $6.7k i feel he’ll be selected by more than a couple people today.
Blaine Boekhorst – $5,700
If the Blues are any chance of improving they need their 2nd grade players such as Boekhorst, he really lifted last weekend against the Hawks in their huge upset win scoring himself a cool 108FP, the blues will be after a repeat effort here for him coming up against the fearsome opposition that is the Swans, for $5.7k i am willing to take the punt on him continuing on his way scoring decently for his price.
Josh Daicos – $3,500
Daicos came out last week and produced us a fine 70FP for his first game, this looks like a kid who can play and will hopefully follow in his fathers footsteps and become one of the all time greats, for a player that is only valued at $3.5k and can produce us scores of 70FP, i feel like he is a sure lock into most sides this Saturday and you’d be quite silly not to even consider him, i’ve got him in my team and i’m sticking with him.
