Bonus edition! Short slate today, but before I catch up on Game of Thrones, I thought I’d share a couple of hot takes I threw out in chat earlier today. I’ll be back tomorrow with the full ramble, but for now here are my MLB fantasy tips…
I’m going back to the well with Tyler Skaggs ($9,100). For as good as the Rangers are at home, they’re pretty average on the road. As his price indicates, he’s a bit of a risk but he’s getting nearly a strikeout per inning and the Angels are playing for a Wild Card spot. Mike Trout will hit 5 homers and personally deliver him the win.
In road starts since July, Zach Davies ($11,600) has only given up 2 earned runs in 27.2 innings. That’s good. His seasonal road era is just 2.52 and gets the Giants in San Fran today. Don’t expect a lot of strikeouts, but 7 innings and a win is there for the taking.
Hitters & Stacks
I pretty much have only one thing to say here: look to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for a ton of runs by both the A’s and Orioles. The forecast is for hot, humid, and a nice little breeze blowing out towards left field. Add in a pitcher who can’t miss bats and allows a lot of hard contact (lookint at you, Chris Smith) with a dash of Wade Miley’s 5+ era and you got yourself a run fest.
Good luck everyone.
