Today’s Super Saturday NRL action see’s the Knights vs Storm, Roosters vs Tigers followed by the Cowboys vs Sharks later this evening, check out my NRL fantasy tips as we get set for an EPIC Saturday of the greatest game of all!
Knights V Storm
The Knights have been on a winning streak but it’s hard to tip against the Premiership favourites.
I don’t usually spend the big bucks on Cameron Smith ($11,000) but I think he’ll be in for a monster game. Unfortunately it’ll force me to spend less in other positions.
Joe Stimson ($4,700) emerges as the value pick in this match. He’s playing in the second row but is producing a good average. Josh King ($5,100) and Jordan McLean ($5,400) are also very appealing. King has been providing great value in recent weeks while McLean will be filling in among the starting pack. I guess I’ll need one heavy hitter so Dale Finucane ($7,400) will round out my pack.
I’m going to take the punt on Cooper Cronk ($6,400) as Cameron Munster ($10,000) is a bit expensive coming back from injury.
I won’t be able to afford Billy Slater ($9,900) but Suliasi Vunivalu ($7,400) and Josh Addo-Carr ($8,100) should score well and both come with a reasonable price. Curtis Scott ($6,400) is the cheaper of the Storm outside backs and will be my final picked. Some of the Knights backs are very cheap but I can’t see them producing a good output against the impressive Storm.
Roosters V Tigers
The Chooks should be able to beat the Tigers and I’m expecting a fair few points to be scored.
Despite being $3,000 more, I think Jake Friend ($7,700) will provide better value than Matt McIlwrick ($4,7000). He’ll be my hooker for this match.
Chris Lawrence ($5,100) returns to the starting side and will be my first picked forward. Dylan Napa ($5,300) and Elijah Taylor ($6,500) will be my two mid-rangers while Boyd Cordner ($8,800) will round out my pack. I think this will be a high scoring match so I’m not keen on spending too much on my forwards.
Luke Keary ($7,500) is a very attractive option here and I think he’ll provide the better value. He’ll be my half for this match.
I’ll be leaning towards the Roosters’ outside backs for this match. Mitchell Aubusson ($6,100) and Blake Ferguson ($6,800) are both attractive choices due to their mid-range price tags. I think they’re both capable of scoring well in this match. Michael Gordon ($7,000) returns from injury and is named at fullback; he comes with the goal kicking duties and could have a monster against the Tigers on Saturday.
Cowboys V Sharks
It’s hard to predict the winner in this match but I’m expecting a low scoring contest.
Jake Granville ($6,800) is the more expensive choice but still comes with a reasonable price tag. He’s a reliable option and will be my hooker.
John Asiata ($4,500) has returned to the forwards and will play at starting prop. He seems to be a good value choice and will be my first picked. Luke Lewis ($6,300) and Coen Hess ($7,800) have been in good form lately and I think they’ll be able to justify their prices. I’m not planning on spending too much in the other positions so I’ll be picking Jason Taumalolo ($10,000) as my heavy hitter.
I’m going to take the punt on Te Maire Martin ($6,000) as my half. He had the week of last week and may take some charge with Michael Morgan ($8,100) coming off a HIA.
It’s hard to lean towards a specific side so it might be a safe choice to go with reliability. Javid Bowen ($6,100) and Kane Linnett ($6,300) seem to produce reasonable base stats and both come with mid-range price tags. I’m going to pick Valentine Holmes ($7,000) as my final outside back. He may not have an impressive form average but I really like his scoring potential in this match.
