There’s another massive weekend of EPL fixtures around the corner and that means there’s plenty of contests to be won. Chelsea host Watford in the early kick-off, and it’s hard to believe that the away side is actually placed higher on the table! Both Manchester teams play in the afternoon games and given their form, their could be plenty of goals and some high scoring moneyball teams! Southampton v West brom isn’t exactly a late kick-off to make the highlight reel, but a Super Sunday should make up for that game. There’s plenty of contests to be entered, so it’s time to find those gems to bring home some $$$$!
Aguero ($11,700, FWD)
The good news is that we will know if Aguero is starting before the contest closes, so it can easily be changed if he isn’t. However with Jesus playing twice over the International break, then starting both last weekend and in the Champions League midweek… He could be due a rest. Aguero is fully fit once again and averaging 32.4 if his past few Moneyball contests. I don’t really need to explain why this is a great pick, but he is on the expensive side.
Zaha ($7,900, FWD)
Hazard proved last week that selecting players returning from injury can backfire, however Zaha’s return last week would suggest he’s in a rich vein of form. He tormented Chelsea’s defence and scored a goal, and must be strongly considered for your squads. He suits the scoring system, drawing plenty of fouls and he isn’t afraid to shoot. It’s a little risky, but an away trip to Newcastle gives Palace a good chance to back up from last week’s first win.
Krychowiak ($4,000, MID)
To afford the best players you’re going to need to sacrifice somewhere, and West Brom’s midfield destroyer could be a safe option for a solid score. In his 7 games he has intercepted 9 passes, made 7 tackles and drawn 5 fouls. If you want to bank some points, he’s a great option.
Van Dijk ($5,900, DEF)
Van Dijk has fought his way back into Southampton’s first team, and should be strongly considered ahead of a home game against West Brom. Worryingly Southampton haven’t won since Gameweek 2, and haven’t kept a clean sheet since Gameweek 3. That must mean they’re due! West Brom aren’t exactly the most threatening team and I’m tipping a Saints clean sheet tonight.
Smalling ($4,500, DEF)
Smalling has got his chance for United due to injuries, and there are doubts over Jones and Bailly again tonight. If so then Smalling should get another start, and playing for United that likely means another clean sheet. They have conceded to one player in the premier League all season… It should be a safe bet against Huddersfield.
Elliot ($5,100, GK)
Lastly we all need a keeper, and if you can’t afford De Gea then the options run thin this week. Rob Elliot is at home to Crystal Palace and even though they found some form last week, it’s still as good an option as you’ll get this week. He’s fairly cheap and will allow you to spend big money elsewhere. He’s in my team!
