Thursday is the best day of the week for fantasy, with a ten-game slate and $30,000 worth of prizes to play for in the NBA $30,000 Thursday Monster. For fantasy players, there are plenty of value plays and a lot of lineup changes to take advantage of. Here’s where to start: NBA DFS Tips:

Point Guard

Reggie Jackson $5,600

Reggie Jackson bounced back into form with a 32.5 fantasy point game in his last game, just in time for this Phoenix Suns match up and the Thursday Swish. His recent form caused his price to slip, which only makes him more valuable with a matchup against the Suns – who concede the second most fantasy points to point guards.

T.J. McConnel $5,400

If Ben Simmons (GTD) misses today then that will mean more ball-handling and playmaking responsibilities for McConnell. McConnel is usually solid without being amazing, but he did have 53.9 fantasy points just two matches ago. The ceiling is there and his floor is good enough that a quieter game won’t hurt you at this price. But just remember, this one is only worth a look if Simmons misses.

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal $7,600

With John Wall out Bradley Beal’s ceiling is the sky. Without Wall’s usage, Beal becomes the number one guy with a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. There is the concern that he could struggle with that added responsibility – like he did last game shooting 18% – but the ceiling is high and a performance like that isn’t likely again.

Small Forward

Joe Harris $4,100

With all of the injuries in Brooklyn, Joe Harris has been in some great form. He had a quieter game against Houston (14.3 pts), but before that, he had 36, 21.9 and 23.7 in consecutive games. Without anyone else on the wing, Harris should get the opportunity to continue that form.

Otto Porter $6,300

Just like Beal, Otto Porter has a lot of added responsibility with Wall out, which raises his ceiling exponentially. In his last two¬†games he has scored 30.6 and 51, which would both be solid returns for today’s fantasy monster. However, it’s that 51 point performance that really entices us in today’s tournament.

Power Forward

Pascal Siakim $4,700

Pascal Siakim has been in great form of late, averaging 27.1 over the last five, with a high score of 35.3 and a low score of 19.2. Siakim’s fantasy scores have correlated heavily with his minutes, which should only trend upwards with Miles out.

Tobias Harris $6,500

Tobias Harris has been incredible form this morning, coming off a 40.6 fantasy point performance. He’s been ultra-consistent all year, averaging 29.7 on the season and just over 31 over the last five. Harris is reasonably priced, but he has a safe floor and the upside against the Suns is very enticing.

Joel Embiid $9,700

Probably the highest upside centre on any day, but especially today is Joel Embiid. Ben Simmons is a GTD which means Embiid could be set to soak up a ton of usage. There is some concern he might sit out the back-to-back, but so far there’s been no indication that this is the case.
