NRL $5,000 BRONCOS V EELS SPECIAL

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane Broncos at home to the Parramatta Eels. This match will likely be one way traffic with the Broncos boasting a strong record at home. I’m predicting the boys from Brisbane to win convincingly.

HOOKER

Andrew McCullough ($7,700) and Cameron King ($4,800) are the two starting hookers in this match. It’s tempting to run with the cheaper option although McCullough is playing for an Origin jersey and usually produces the superior base output. I’ll be spending the extra coin and running with Macca.

FORWARDS

Siosaia Vave ($3,900) has been named in the starting side and comes with a cheap price tag. I think he should be producing an output superior to this price. Jaydn Su’A ($5,100) is also a low risk option; he could jag an attacking stat at home against the Eels. Peni Terepo ($5,500) has been moved to lock and should score well, while Joe Ofahengaue ($6,100) is expected to benefit from his positional change too. Tevita Pangai Junior ($6,400) will be a great option if you’re looking for a player to keep the points ticking over. Manu Ma’u ($8,400) has become less appealing now he’s returned to the second row.

HALF

Halves generally need attacking stats to score well so I’d recommend running with one of the two Broncos’ candidates. Both Anthony Milford ($7,000) and Kodi Nikorima ($5,900) will be capable of scoring well but I won’t mind spending the extra $1,100 on the former option. I’ll be running with the Milf.

OUTSIDE BACKS

I can’t see any of the Eels’ outside backs producing a good output so I’m running with three Broncos. Jordan Kahu ($4,500) returns from injury this week but paranoia will get the better of me. Darius Boyd ($5,300) hasn’t been impressive in recent weeks so it looks like I’ll be spending big in the outside backs this week. Jamyne Issako ($5,900), James Roberts ($7,500) and Corey Oates ($7,900) will be my three choices. Issako will benefit from his goal kicking duties while Roberts is playing for a NSW Origin jumper. Oates usually finds the line when the Broncos play at home to a weak opponent. Lock them in!
