NRL $2,000 Raiders V Panthers Special
The Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers will face off in the first match of round 14. If the Panthers’ Origin stars back up after Wednesday night’s match then we should witness a close encounter. I’m tipping the Panthers to win in a low scoring affair.
Siliva Havili ($6,300) and Sione Katoa ($4,000) are the two starting hookers in this match. I’ll willing to spend the extra coin on the Raiders’ hooker due to Katoa’s low output.
I’m generally a paranoid person when it comes to selecting my DFS players, this is why I’ll be ignoring anyone backing up from Origin. Trent Merrin ($7,200) and Shannon Boyd ($5,700) will be my first two forwards selected. They may benefit from Papalii and Campbell-Gillard’s reduced minutes. Viliame Kikau ($7,400) has been moved to the interchange but I’m predicting he’ll produce an attacking stat or two against a tired Raiders’ edge. I’m going to give Dunamis Lui ($4,100) a shot this week because I plan on spending big on my outside backs.
It’s difficult to fork out 8k on James Maloney ($8,000) or Nathan Cleary ($8,000) just two days after their State of Origin match. I’m going take a dive a choose Aidan Sezer ($3,900) as my half. He won’t need to produce much to justify his cheap price tag.
Choosing my outside backs was surprisingly easy for this match-up. I’m simply going to run with the two fullbacks in Jack Wighton ($7,500) and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak ($6,400) in the hope they produce high run meters during a low scoring match. Jarrod Croker ($7,900) will be my final choice due to his goal kicking duties and attacking potential. The money saved in other positions will allow me to spend big on these three players.
