Round 16 kicks off with what we’re expecting to be a one-sided affair. The Saint George Illawarra Dragons are without their star second-rower but should be too good for the bottom of the table Parramatta Eels. Load up on the Dragons’ outside backs!
Cameron McInnes ($9,000) is the more expensive choice of the two hookers available but I’ll be running with him. He has a good chance of attacking involvement and should be superior choice over Cameron King ($4,300).
Tyson Frizell will miss this match due to suffering a HIA during Origin game two. This means Jacob Host ($4,500) will come into the starting side and could be a value pick for our forwards. Marata Niukore ($3,700) also comes into the starting side for the Titans and could potentially be the other value pick. Steer clear of Jack DeBelin ($9,100) who copped another hit to his hip injury during Origin. I like the idea of running with Paul Vaughan ($7,800) or Tariq Sims ($7,800) who could benefit from the absence of Frizell and the weak opponent.
Gareth Widdop ($7,600) is now available at a respectable price after his poor form in recent weeks. There’s a chance he’ll play reduced minutes if the Dragons are dominating this match but I think he’s worth the punt.
Kurt Mann ($4,000) is the cheapest of the Dragons’ outside backs and he’ll be my first choice. Take your pick from the other four Dragons’ candidates. They’re all capable of scoring well in this match and shouldn’t disappoint. I’m going to run with Matthew Dufty ($7,200) who’s producing good running meters at fullback. It’s a three-sided coin flip between the other options but I’m grabbing Timoteo Lafai ($6,900) to round out my team.
