NRL $3,000 EELS V KNIGHTS SPECIAL

The Parramatta Eels will host the Newcastle Knights in the only match this Saturday. Corey Norman will miss this contest through injury while Herman Ese’ese has copped a one match suspension and won’t be taking the field for the Knights. I’m predicting the Eels to take the two points in a high scoring contest.

HOOKER

Slade Griffin ($5,700) and Cameron King ($4,700) are the two starting hookers in this match. I think it’s worth spending the extra $1,000 on Griffin as King usually produces a poor output. At least Griffin can produce a handful of base stats when playing in the starting side.

FORWARDS

Jacob Lillyman ($4,400) has been brought into the starting side to replace the suspended Herman Ese’ese. He should be able to provide our teams with value through his respectable base output. Peni Terepo ($5,900) is once again named at lock and is scoring well above his worth in this position. The Eels have been leaking plenty of points so it could be worth taking a punt on Lachlan Fitzgibbon ($8,700). He’s one of the more expensive candidates although it’s difficult seeing him missing out on attacking stats completely against the bottom of the table Eels. Siosaia Vave ($3,900) is once again the cheapest candidate although his output is generally poor. Daniel Alvaro ($7,400) is the safety pick for this match; his work rate has been impressive and it should be worth forking out for his services.

HALF

Connor Watson ($6,600) has been in incredible form and needs to be considered as your half choice for this match. Clint Gutherson ($8,200) is the only other half I’d look at although he’s still a risky choice with his expensive price tag.

OUTSIDE BACKS

If you managed to save your cap in other positions then I’d be bringing in Kayln Ponga ($9,100). Ponga is the goal kicker and is usually involved in a high percentage of the Knights’ attacking plays. Corey Denniss ($3,500) has been named in the centres to replace the injured Nathan Ross. He should be a nice value pick with his bottom dollar price tag. Bevan French ($5,100) has been moved to fullback which is typically his favoured position. I think he’ll be a solid choice this week.
