NBA $7,000 Thursday Special
Another Thursday means another massive slate of NBA. Today’s contests promise a lot of great games, and just as many big fantasy scores. Get your team now for a shot at your share of the $7,000 Thursday Special.
Jeff Teague $6,400
This selection is betting on the fact that Jeff Teague is back from injury unscathed. All signs point that way, with 40.8 fantasy points in his last game. After returning the game prior Teague suffered no setbacks and was given the greenlight to return to his normal playing time/role. As long as there isn’t any rust, Teague should be slightly undervalued at the moment until his price works its way up to the $7,500 he was before the injury.
Stephen Curry $9,100
I really like this matchup for Curry. Not only does it just feel like a game where he will always perform, the numbers back that up. He averaged 50.25 against the Blazers across their last two matchups and it almost seems like he takes the competition against Dame as a bit of a challenge.
D’Angelo Russell $9,000
We are all aware of what All-Star D’Angelo Russell has been up to – heck, I feel like I have talked about him at least 15 times in the last two months. Russell has been in incredible form, the type of form that has seen him average 47 fantasy points across his last 3 games. As the Nets continue to push for playoffs, and with a great matchup against the Cavs today, I can see Russells All-Star form persisting for at least one more contest.
Gordon Hayward $5,600
It was only a week ago that I was shitting on Hayward, but credit where credit is due. His form of late is well-deserving of fantasy selection and his 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists against Philly was a great all-around performance. Consistency has really been an issue for Hayward, but he is getting better and his upside at this price is tough to ignore in tournament formats. The guy has scored 36+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 4 games, and those are the types of returns from $5,600 players that will win you big money.
Bobby Portis $6,800
Bobby Portis is loving his new home in Washington. He has averaged 37 fantasy points across his first 3 games and is playing a strong 30 minutes a contest. His usage is high and he is contributing in a range of different areas. With nothing particular standing out as unsustainable, I expect Portis to continue producing these numbers for the rest of the season at his new club.
Marcus Morris $5,400
Marcus Morris has had one bad game in his last ten, but fortunately for us fantasy players that means we can jump on a great fantasy option that’s underpriced. Morris has consistently put in between 25-35 fantasy point performances as a starter, which is just incredible return from his current price. When you also factor in a good matchup today, he is almost impossible to ignore.
Jusuf Nurkic $8,400
Jusuf Nurkic completely dominates the Warriors matchup. It’s gotta be one of his favourite in the league right? We haven’t seen it against Cousins, but I do think the mental edge he holds on this team will still ring strong. He had 43+ fantasy points in his last two games against the Warriors and I have no doubt he will fancy himself for a similar output today.
