First game of round 3 sees a great matchup between Adelaide and Geelong from the Adelaide Oval. Geelong after two rounds sit on top of the ladder and have impressive wins over Melbourne and Collingwood. Why Adelaide were impressive last week against Sydney, should lead to a great matchup tonight.

Defender

Tom Stewart @ 6,600 – Been in good form in the first two rounds averaging 108.5 fantasy points. Average 26.5 disposals and 6.5 marks in the Geelong backline. He should do more of the same in this matchup, I don’t see why he wouldn’t.

Rory Laird @ 8,800 – Laird always seems to be one of the safest picks in moneyball and tonight matchup is no different. Laird got tagged last week and should be a lot better tonight, has a fantastic record against the cats averaging 120+ in the last few matchups.

Midfielder

Patrick Dangerfield @ 9,900 – Danger seems to love playing his former team and will most likely be the highest scorer in this matchup. The last time these two teams played, danger score 151 with 33 disposals and 3 goals in a pretty dominate game.

Rory Sloane @8,700 – As a second midfielder in this matchup, I suggested to choose Sloane. Sloane has the ability the go big whenever he doesn’t receive any attention. I don’t see Geelong sending anyone to tag Sloane so I can see him going big. We all look for someone who has a massive ceiling in Moneyball and Sloane has the ability, is definitely worth a punt.

Wayne Milera @7,000 – Has been really playing well this year, looks fantastic playing across the half-back line. Averaging 90 fantasy points throughout the first two games of the season. Rory Laird seems to be receiving more attention of half-back it allows player like Milera to rack up disposals back there.

Charlie Constable @5.200 – Hasn’t he been on fire for a rookie, averaging 94 in the first two rounds this year and for a rookie price this is fantastic and should just be a certainty in your lineup at that price.

Ruck

Rhys Stanley @7,000 – It’s either Stanley or Jacobs in this matchup and Jacobs looked abit sore/injuried last week so the safer pick is Stanley for me. It either a toss of a coin who you choose in this matchup. Stanley did score a ton in the last matchup between these twos, so I’m hoping for the same again. Late news O’Brien will be playing makes Stanley almost certain lock

Forward

Tom Lynch @7,200 – One of my favourite selection in Moneyball is Tom Lynch always seems to be one of the safest picks. He seems to always score between 80-100 and for seems like a consistent and safe option to have in your forward line. You always know what you are going to get

Brandan Parfitt @6,200 – Plays a high half-forward role for the Cats. Likes to have a tackle with an averaging of 7.5 per game. Should be good for an 80 – 90 in this matchup which will be nice for a forward because I don’t see a lot of decent options in this matchup.

Good luck in your Thursday matchup and happy moneyballing.
