This BBL off-season has been special. It’s been one of the most active in recent memory with a variety of key international signings taking place. These signings add to the level of competition and excitement in what is arguably the best T20 competition in the world.

  1. AB De Villiers (Brisbane Heat)

Yes, you read that right, the talented former South African captain is coming down under, agreeing to suit- up for 6 games, plus finals for the Brisbane Heat. AB is truly one of a kind, honestly his batting stats speak for itself. In England’s Vitality Blast competition in 2019, playing in just 8 matches, De Villiers scored 348 runs, with a high score of 88, an average of 69.6, with a strike rate of 182.2.

  • Dale Steyn (Melbourne Stars)

The Melbourne Stars have found themselves one tough competitor in legendary South African bowler Dale Steyn. Steyn’s experience in the T20 format is second to none. The all-rounder has played in 92 IPL matches, taking 96 wickets at an economy rate of only 6.76. There’s not a single cricket team on the planet, that would not be thrilled to have the potent Dale Steyn on their squad.

  • Zahir Khan (Brisbane Heat)

The Afghan spinner has been picked up by the Brisbane Heat after strong performances in the Caribbean Premier League and England’s Vitality Blast. Khan has enormous potential and could dominate in this seasons Big Bash. Khan should not be ignored, especially with the success spin bowlers have in the BBL. Keep a close eye on him!

  • Faheem Ashraf (Melbourne Renegades)

The Melbourne Renegades could have themselves a hidden gem in Faheem Ashraf. Ashraf can do damage with both the bat and ball and will be a key man for the Renegades early in the season. With a career strike rate of 138, as well as over ninety T20 wickets, Ashfaf has the skillset to develop into one of the Big Bash’s strongest talents.

  • Tom Banton (Brisbane Heat)

When it comes to this seasons Big Bash signings, the Heat came in all guns blazing. Introducing Tom Banton. Before AB Devilliers steps in for the Heat, Banton will suit up for 8 BBL games. Banton boasts a strike rate of 161 in the Vitality blast and a top score of 100, Banton is a rising star in English cricket and will look to make a name for himself on Aussie soil.
