Big day of football ahead for the 2016 season finals hopefuls. The top 8 could continue to take shape in various directions throughout the day and will be captivating right until the final round. All the contests will be hard at it and they all have the potential to be high scoring. Sit back, relax and enjoy every minute of our great game because we are in for a ripper of a day.
Sam Jacobs $8,200
The big Crows ruckman has been working his way back to some of his best form. He will be up against a Geelong outfit performing well together. Averaging 15.8 disposals 32.3 hit outs and 3.4 marks is a handy stat therefore he will work well around the ground for his side.
Lance Franklin $8,300
Big Buddy Franklin was kept goalless last week against the Hawks, looking to bounce back in a big way. The Swans will be looking to take the sword to a Blues outfit expecting an absolute onslaught. With 53 goals and averaging 5.6 marks per game the master of the forward line will know just what to do to snag a bag come Saturday.
Tom J Lynch $7,600
Another forward fighting hard for the Coleman Medal in 2016. Lynch has been working hard each week for his side and hasn’t looked like slowing down. Averaging 7.2 marks along with his goal kicking prowess, he could be unstoppable against Fremantle at Metricon. If the Dockers let him get off his leash early, it could be a big day for the big forward.
Patrick Dangerfield $10,900
The prolific Cat has worked tirelessly this season for the team and will need another big performance tonight. Facing his old team for the second time this season as Geelong go for 2-0 over the Crows in 2016. Averaging 31.3 disposals, 4.9 tackles and 5.4 marks per game is a huge feat for any midfielder so he is well worth the hefty price tag.
Rory Sloane $9,700
Mate v Mate as the likely match up of Sloane and Dangerfield could come to fruition. Averaging a massive 7.8 tackles and 25.5 disposals will be perfect to line up against either Dangerfield or Selwood Saturday night. He has shown he can score big this season and the form he is in there should be no doubt he delivers again.
Clay Smith $4,200
Coming off some bad knee injuries in his short career, Smith has taken his opportunities with both hands. Already averaging 17 disposals, 4 marks and 5.7 tackles the young player has been cruising into some quality form ahead of finals for the Dogs. With no Stringer this week for the Dogs, a lot will fall on the shoulders of Smith to lift and take on the game head on in the only fashion he knows how.
Sharrod Wellingham $5,500
The defensive Eagles may not be the highest scorer each week but he may as well be names Mr. Consistent. Averaging 17.1 disposals and 3.7 marks off half back in a solid defence. He will be looking to generate plenty of run off the back line for his side to hammer home a huge score against the Demons in Perth.
Matthew Boyd $9,500
The veteran Dog is having a fantastic year and will relish his other defenders returning back to the side. He is averaging 28.2 disposals and 7.5 marks in a game he predominately play in defence. Boys has a large price tag yet he is well worth the risk today. He knows how to use the ball in addition to impeccable efficiency.
