Another week, another day of mouth-watering AFL contest’s coming up.  Teams are fighting for the final spots in the top eight with the Saints v Eagles clinging to hope.  Richmond v Hawks could shape the Tiger’s to rampage towards September.  Finishing off with the round with the showdown between the Adelaide Crows vs Port Adelaide Power.  Nothing like a Sunday jam-packed with quality football. AFL fantasy tips:

Patrick Ryder $8,700

In his first season back to AFL football Ryder has really shone.  Averaging 12.9 disposals, 3.6 marks and 36.1 hit outs from the 17 games.  He will be up against a quality opponent in Sam Jacobs for the Adelaide Crows but the hunger for Ryder should rise him to the top.  He is in a fantasy form average of 95.7Fp currently and hasn’t looked like slowing down.

Robbie Gray $7,700

With more midfield time being added to Robbie Gray’s 2017 campaign again, coaches should rejoice he is still a forward option.  Averaging 17.9 disposals, 4.2 marks, 2.3 tackles and 41 goals from 18 games this season.  Coming off the winning goal last week, and working straight into a showdown this week he should be raring to go.  Expecting a solid output for Gray’s scoring this week.

James Sicily $6,800

In recent weeks Sicily has seemed to really find his feet in this Hawthorn line-up.  Averaging 16.8 disposals , 6.5 marks and 12 goals to his name for the season.  In the last two weeks against the Swans and Fremantle he has managed scores of 106 and 104.  He is a lower priced forward option but has all of the capabilities of generating a solid score.

Dustin Martin $10,500

Many people’s favourite note for the 2017 Brownlow and rightly so.  Dusty has produced the goods again this season and is making everyone put their money where their mouth is.  Averaging 30.1 disposals, 3.7 tackles, 4.3 marks and 24 goals from 18 games.  Only 3 out of the 19 games this year has Martin dropped below 90+Fp in the contest.  Sure lock for the gun midfielder.

Brad Crouch $9,400

First week coming back from injury, stepping straight into the showdown.  He has boasted some solid numbers for the Crows in 2017.  Averaging 27.6 disposals, 2.3 marks and 6.8 tackles.  He knows how to find the footy, but the tackle pressure against the Powers will be the key.

Luke Shuey $8,900

Shuey is regarded as one of the cheaper options when it comes to high-class midfield picks.  Against the Saints he will need to dig deep in the absence of Priddis and being away from Perth.  Averaging 26.7 disposals, 4.2 marks and 6 tackles in the 2017 season.  He will need plenty of hard work to score well, but he certainly has what it takes to do so.

Shane Savage $7,500

The Saints are facing an Eagles outfit fighting for their spot in the top of the eight and the Saints side trying to squeeze them out.  Savage has managed to average 20 disposals, 5.3 marks and in 92.3Fp form in recent weeks.  The running defender will be looking to break of the leash and hit the wing running.  Pace concerns the West Coast sometimes and Savage has the weapons to unleash.

Rory Laird $9,000

Showdowns have always separated the men from the boys out on the ground.  Rory Laird is one player that has always put the right foot forward for his side.  Scoring 92Fp in the meeting against the Power in the year.  Laird has averaged 30.4 disposals, 4.7 marks and 24 free kicks to his advantage when only giving away 11.  He is a scoring machine and in the big games always expect him to monster the competition.
