We’ve been treated to another thrilling match last night between the Crows and the Swans, we will honestly be hoping for more of the same great entertaining football from all of our matches today, some teams are just playing for pride, whilst others still fighting for their top 8 spot, I for one cannot wait for these games to get underway! So here are our AFL fantasy tips for todays matches.

Saturday Slam Special

Keegan Brooksby – $5,200

Brooksby is back into the lineup this weekend with injuries to both Witts and Currie, this opens the door for Brooksby to really make his mark on a game as the teams number one ruckman, he’s played one game so far this season and scored 82FP, for this time of the year when saving cash where you can is important at $5.2k Brooksby is looking hard to pass up.

Nick Haynes – $6,800

Haynes is one of those very versatile defenders who can play of both big and small forwards, he is also one of those new breed of defensive players who read the ball really well and will jump in third into a contest to take the intercepting mark, coming up an Eagles team who struggle away from home, it is a great opportunity for him to take advantage of some real easy long bombs into the Eagles forward 50.

Matthew Scharenberg – $6,200

Scharenberg has struggled in previous years with injuries and has finally been given his chance at AFL level this season, with each and every game that he plays he is simply getting more and more confident in his own abilities to play at AFL level, he has started winning a lot of the ball and has been using is quite well, coming up against a Geelong team who have been playing well, it would look likely the ball will be down Scharenbergs end more often than not.

David Zaharakis – $9,500

Zaha started the year of quite slowly but has really started playing football like he once did prior to the Bombers year suspension, he is a player who can really win you a game with his efforts, he will be coming up a depleted Suns team and i am expecting sheer domination from the Bombers in this game, so with this domination i hope Zaha can really get among the possession winners and find himself on the goal sheet more than once.

Scott Selwood – $8,000

Arguably one of the competitions best run with shut down players, he is a hard nut Selwood, a guy who doesn’t know when to give up and even hurts his opponent going the opposite way, he can keep his opponent to under 20 disposals and pick up close to 30 himself, throw in all the tackles that this guy lays and you have got yourself a nice solid score for only $8k.

Sam Petrevski-Seton – $6,600

Petrevski-Seton is going to be a real talent in future years to come, he has shown us glimpses of his sheer brilliance with the ball in hand and can really find a lot of the ball when on his game, he has taken after Kade Simpson in wearing the long-sleeve guernsey. He has been averaging 87.3FP in recent games so for a player valued at just $6.6k, i’m taking the punt on him to produce.

James Sicily – $7,600

Sicily has been re-invented as a Defender and it has really revitalized his career by making that switch, he can read the ball just as well as anyone and can take a great contested grab from the balls highest point, i am really looking forward to seeing what he can produce coming up against the Blues.

Josh Daicos- $3,500

So we finally get to see Daicos running around in the AFL system once again after seeing his father play, i personally don’t know much about the debutant but again in a time where funds really are important to you it’s also an incredibly viable choice to bring him into our teams at only $3.5k, if he can produce a 50 point effort i will be more than satisfied with that effort.
