Just one ‘stud’ today?!NBA DFS Tips
Yes, there is only one ‘elite’ fantasy option available today and that is Giannis Antetokounmpo.
That makes the $10,000 Wednesday Swish extremely interesting because we will be filling our rosters up with a range of players from different salaries!
Here are our best plays of the day:
Elfrid Payton ($6,900)
Well, Elfrid Payton just scored 63 fantasy points in his last game.
While that might seem like a one-off kind of deal, Payton is actually in a more favourable matchup today against the Heat. With Vucevic missing from action, Payton will need to step up on the offensive end and probably shoot the ball more, too.
Austin Rivers ($6,000)
Austin Rivers continues to surprise fantasy NBA players around the world.
For a guy who has always looked like a solid bench player through his career, he has stepped up in a huge way with Blake Griffin out indefinitely.
Rivers, along with Lou Williams, have taken on a bigger role recently and to put it in perspective, Rivers has scored 46.6 and 50.9 fantasy points in his last two games.
Donovan Mitchell ($7,100)
Donovan Mitchell is one of the juiciest plays of the day.
Mitchell, who has been underwhelming recently, is up against the Denver Nuggets in what is sure to be an excellent matchup for the 21-year-old from the Jazz.
When he gets his scoring going, he puts up massive fantasy numbers and it is likely he can do that against the Nuggets today.
Lou Williams ($7,000)
Lou Williams is still a consistent feature in our daily fantasy NBA plays on Moneyball.
Ever since Griffin has been out of the team, it’s been up to Rivers and Williams to lift their game. Most recently (and much like Rivers), Williams has scored 52.9 and 41.4 fantasy points in his last two games.
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12,000)
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the only player priced upward of $10,000 today on Moneyball.
He’s also a game-time decision, as we approach the Milwaukee vs. Chicago game. Therefore, it’s important to keep an eye on his status all the way up until lockout.
But if he plays, you have to have him on your team. There’s no one with the upside that Giannis has today, so you don’t want to be left behind if he plays.
Josh Richardson ($6,000)
The Miami Heat team is quickly running out of options at the small forward position.
That means Josh Richardson is likely to get a boost in minutes today as one of the more reliable options remaining at the Heat.
He has been on a good run, with three scores of 43 or more in his last five games.
Zach Randolph ($6,700)
Ready for Zach Randolph to smash and crash his way to the bucket countless times today?
Randolph is up against a Clippers team that is incredibly depleted. Griffin, Gallinari, and Johnson are all missing so that means Randolph will be able to beat up on the inexperienced roster from Los Angeles.
The Kings haven’t quite worked out what they’re doing with Zach yet, but he should see minutes in the high 20’s and that should be enough to return value in this promising matchup.
Derrick Favors ($5,700)
Gobert out, Favors in.
With Rudy Gobert off the court, Favors sees a massive increase in his rebounding and becomes a valuable daily fantasy play.
He might not be owned by many today, but he is capable of scoring 30+ points from his $5,700 salary and that’s worth consideration.
Bismack Biyombo ($3,500)
Bismack Biyombo could be in play for a month or two.
With Nikola Vucevic sidelined, Biyombo is the chosen one to step up at the Magic.
He’s never been a threatening player with the ball in his hand, but he can rack up the blocks consistently and grab enough rebounds to score deep into the 20’s.
