This weekend’s NBA action kicks off with a brilliant nine-game slate today. Most importantly, however, Moneyball is offering up $15,000 in their NBA Saturday Swish Special! Start your research now with our NBA DFS tips:
Kris Dunn ($7,900)
Kris Dunn is your perfect tournament play.
Sometimes he’s up, sometimes he’s down – but that’s just the life of a volatile scorer.
We’re latching onto Kris Dunn today against the Pacers in the hope he can produce one of his monster 50+ games and take the crowd by surprise.
Rajon Rondo ($5,500)
Want another unusual play at point guard?
Rajon Rondo produced 25 (!!!) assists in his 20th game as a Pelican. That’s a ridiculous number of assists, even for Rondo, and it suggests that there is something a little different going on with Rondo right now.
See, considering that he has been seeing close to 20 minutes per game, something had to change. Maybe he is thinking that he can keep dishing out dimes to work his way into 30+ minutes per game?
We’ll see if Rondo can assist us today.
Devin Booker ($7,100)
Devin Booker is back on the court and straight back into our fantasy teams.
After returning from injury, Booker didn’t miss a beat and scored 45 fantasy points in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
While many of us were fearful of a minutes restriction for Booker, that clearly isn’t in play here and instead, he’ll likely torch the Kings today in a very favorable matchup.
Josh Hart ($4,400)
Josh Hart makes his first appearance in my recommendations as we approach today’s games.
Hart is an excellent play today with Lonzo Ball sitting out with a shoulder injury. The result of that injury is that both Jordan Clarkson and Josh Hart will likely provide great value for owners today in fantasy.
The Clippers team are already quite favorable for opposing guards and will see close to 30 minutes again today.
Kevin Durant ($11,700)
Stephen Curry’s ankle injury isn’t hurting the Warriors as much as you’d think.
But, that’s simply because Kevin Durant is carrying the load now. With Curry missing one more game, it allows us to extract a little more value from Kevin Durant in this spot.
The only harm to Durant’s fantasy scoring is the Warrior’s excellence. When they start to gain a big lead, Durant often sees additional rest.
Otto Porter ($6,400)
Otto Porter is in a great spot today against the Houston Rockets.
Firstly. the forward has returned to his usual kind-of production after starting slowly last week. With consecutive scores of 33, Porter seems to be a sure thing to provide 5x value against a Rockets team who are on a back-to-back.
Draymond Green ($8,700)
Another major benefactor of Stephen Curry’s absence is Draymond Green.
Green has major upside, which is especially enticing at just $8,700. Lately, however, he has been scoring in the 30’s and 40’s, but the threat of a 50+ game is always there with Draymond Green.
Look for him to step up in a big way today against the Charlotte Hornets.
Kelly Olynyk ($6,700)
Kelly Olynyk stepped up in a big way with James Johnson missing from the Heat team the other day.
With 43.4 fantasy points to his name against the Magic, Olynyk has become a must-consider option at power forward since all of the injuries at the Heat have occurred.
He’ll remain a decent play all the way up until Johnson returns.
DeMarcus Cousins ($11,400)
If you’ve read this far and are not buying into Kevin Durant or even Draymond Green, then maybe DeMarcus Cousins is your guy.
You won’t fit all of these three into your teams, but Cousins is worth a play as your lone ‘shine’ guy, if you wish.
Cousins plays the Mavericks, who are letting opposing centers run wild lately.
