If today’s 11-game slate doesn’t have you excited, the $18,000 Thursday Monster prize pool should. With big names like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Anthony Davis out, how can you leverage that to give yourself the best chance of making some $$ from today’s fantasy slate? Here are some guys to target, NBA DFS Tips:

Point Guard

Spencer Dinwiddie $6,000

Spencer Dinwiddie has averaged 40.6 fantasy points in the last 3 games while playing 36+ minutes. He’s had a usage of 26% and is averaging 17.67 field goal attempts a game, while steering the ship for a depleted Brooklyn squad. His price has just dropped to $6,000, which makes his upside even greater.

Goran Dragic $6,500

Goran Dragic is on a tear recently, and his price hasn’t caught up just yet. He’s averaging 40.7 over the last 5 games, which is an incredible return on his $6,500 salary. He’s consistently been one of the best plays over the last week or two, let’s hope that continues today.

Shooting Guard

Jrue Holiday $6,800

Jrue Holiday’s numbers lately have been good, without being great. However, over the last 5 games, his price has declined to the point where there may now be some strong fantasy value. Holiday has scored 30+ in 4 of his last 6 games and has only fallen below 20 fantasy points twice this season. At his current price, his floor is fairly low, and his upside is quite high.

Lou Williams $8,300

Lou Williams has finally been put into the starting lineup for the Clippers, and fortunately today he will be coming up against a weakened Golden State team without Steph and Klay. That means big things for some of the Warriors players, but it also means Lou WIlliams might be able to keep this close and put up a big score

Patrick McCaw $3,500

Without Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, someone needs to replace their production. McCaw seems like the most likely candidate, outside of the two other all-stars.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant $10,400

Durant is returning after a three-game absence and usually, that wouldn’t make him an automatic play. But with Klay and Steph out, KD becomes a much more viable fantasy option. His usage seems likely to be sky-high upon return, which could lead to massive fantasy production.

Power Forward

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson $6,900

Besides from a three-game slip recently, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has been playing great basketball. In particular, he bounced back with a 46.9 fantasy point game, thanks to an incredible 17-rebound performance. RHJ again has another chance to return great value with a high upside performance.

Draymond Green $8,300

Draymond Green has hit form just in time for a Curry/Klay-less game. He’s had 53.8 and 54 in two of his last three games, and the Clippers matchup for power forwards is one of the 4 most favourable in the league.

DeMarcus Cousins $10,900

According to Alvin Gentry, there is a “good chance” Anthony Davis does not play today. According to me, that means there is a “good chance” that DeMarcus Cousins goes absolutely bonkers without him. When one elite big takes on the responsibility and usage of two, that often leads to massive fantasy production. You probably remember Boogie’s last extended stretch without AD, where he was a threat to go for 60+ any given night.
