Today’s massive 12-game slate promises as much value as today’s $18,000 prize pool. If you’re struggling for which matchups or players to target, this is a great place to start. NBA DFS Tips:
Chris Paul $8,900
In James Harden’s absence, Chris Paul will be asked to carry the fate of the Houston Rockets franchise for the next two weeks (or more). He will be given more minutes, more touches, and more opportunities for fantasy production. He took over in overtime against the Lakers when Harden went down, and it won’t be surprising if that’s what he looks like for the next two weeks running the D’Antoni show all on his lonesome.
Eric Bledsoe $6,900
Eric Bledsoe is pretty cheap for a player that’s scored 48.9 and 49.6 in two of his last three games. Those are scores you’d be happy with from a $10K investment, to get them for less than $7K is highway robbery. Besides from one poor game of 18 fantasy points, Bledsoe has also scored more than 30 in his last 7 games, which makes him a solid cash play too.
Eric Gordon $5,800
Again, no James Harden means a lot more usage for the rest of the Houston Rockets roster. Harden hasn’t missed a game all season, so we can’t be exactly sure how much they will soak up, but with a usage of 36% and an assist rate of 45.7% there are plenty more touches to be had. With Harden out, EG will now take on backup PG responsibilities and he will no longer be the third banana next to Harden and CP when they play together. It should mean big fantasy scores.\
Thabo Sefolosha $3,500
Thabo Sefolosha has entered into the starting lineup two games ago and has since returned 29.1 and 33.9 in two 30+ minute outings. At basement salary that’s value, you can’t ignore.\
Kyle Anderson $4,200
The Spurs have rested just about everyone for their matchup against the Sixers, which means the lower level rotation guys will be asked to step up. Given the Spurs system, that usually means good things, and in Anderson’s last start he had 27.6. However, with Parker, Ginobili, Leonard, Gay and Green out, there will be even more fantasy points up for grabs in this one.
LaMarcus Aldridge $8.500
With all of the aforementioned guys out, Aldridge is another guy who seems primed to take over a lot of usage. Aldridge has been incredibly consistent, averaging 41.3 over his last five and falling below 40 only once. He makes a great cash and tournament play at this price.
Jordan Bell $4,900
Draymond Green and Zaza Pachulia are both listed as questionable for this Warriors clash against Dallas. It seems very likely that the Warriors will take the cautious route, which could mean big minutes for the rookie, Bell. When he has started or seen big minutes, he’sput up huge scores, including a 41.5 and a 43.2. Against a weak Dallas front-line that sort of production might not be out of the question today.
Karl-Anthony Towns $9,600
KAT has been very hot and cold this season, but it’s his upside that makes him an enticing option for today’s Thursday Monster. Brooklyn is a bottom 5 defense vs centres and has bled points all season. Towns has been underperforming recently, but a 63.8 point performance a few games ago and a good matchup should give fantasy players hope for another big performance in the Thursday Monster.
