With ten games of NBA today, it can get a little tricky managing your Daily Fantasy team. NBA DFS Tips:
Who should be in? Who misses the cut? Let us help you with that as we begin the weekend’s basketball action today.
Who knows, you might even take down the $15,000 Saturday Swish Special.
Kemba Walker ($8,000)
Kemba Walker sees himself in a very favourable matchup today with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers are slowly improving their defense of the point guard position, but it shouldn’t matter against someone like Walker.
Most importantly, Walker has shown a tendency to pass the ball and set up opportunities for his teammates when his shot isn’t falling – something the old Kemba Walker might not have done.
Dennis Smith Jr. ($5,500)
Dennis Smith Jr. seems massively underpriced at just $5,500.
The Mavericks rookie has been scoring well of late, with 44.0, 32.8, and 29.4 fantasy points in each of his last three games.
Today, Smith takes on the Bulls in what is sure to be a favourable matchup for the Mavericks guards.
DeMar DeRozan ($9,000)
Remember when DeMar DeRozan torched the Milwaukee Bucks for 74 fantasy points?
Well, you should, because it was only a couple of days ago.
DeRozan has matched up against the Bucks again today and after lighting up the Bulls for 56.6 fantasy points in-between, DeRozan is enjoying an excellent stretch of basketball.
Donovan Mitchell ($7,800)
Donovan Mitchell has been mightily impressive.
His last game, one against the Pelicans in which he managed 24 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal, is still shy of what he has been achieving lately against other teams.
Just before that game, Mitchell racked up 50.8 fantasy points against the Cavaliers. Today, he’ll be asked to carry some of the scoring load for the Utah Jazz against the Denver Nuggets.
Kawhi Leonard ($7,500)
Kawhi Leonard is back ladies and gentleman.
Well, he’s been back for a while now, but after scoring 49.6 fantasy points vs. the New York Knicks, he is now well and truly back.
His price is at a very affordable $7,500 right now, so make sure to consider Kawhi Leonard for your teams today, even with his minutes restriction.
Robert Covington ($6,100)
Robert Covington might not be in the best form as of right now, but today could be a big opportunity for him to snap out of it.
Covington and the 76ers play against the Detroit Pistons today, a team that seemingly always has a hard time dealing with the presence of Covington at the small forward spot.
Ben Simmons ($8,200)
Playing Ben Simmons is just sometimes all about getting him into your team when Embiid is sitting out from the 76ers game.
Without Embiid, Simmons’s scoring goes up. If he sits today, lock in Simmons.
But even if he doesn’t, Simmons is in consideration because he comes up against the Pistons team who, as mentioned earlier, struggle against the forward positions.
Jarell Martin ($4,200)
Jarell Martin is slowly starting to see increased opportunity with the Memphis Grizzlies.
With his increased opportunity comes better fantasy scoring and Martin has hit 5x value in five of his last six games.
Jusuf Nurkic ($6,500)
Nurkic isn’t exactly the free spirit right now because instead, he’s being carefully managed by the Portland Trail Blazers. However, his fantasy output has dramatically increased over the course of his last four games.
His most recent production makes us quickly forget his poor showing in December.
