Two major injuries see plenty of opportunities open up for our fantasy teams today on Moneyball. NBA DFS Tips:

With Kyle Lowry and Damian Lillard missing from the Toronto and Portland teams respectively, it has opened the door for a number of fascinating selections at all positions.

Start your research here before building your team for the $8,000 Wednesday Swish on Moneyball.

point guard

Goran Dragic ($6,800)

With a number of key injuries to the Heat roster, Goran Dragic has been the one to pick up the slack.

He’s been playing some excellent basketball lately and comes up against the Raptors today who might be forced to make some changes if Lowry misses today’s game.

Shabazz Napier ($3,800)

Another player who is set to benefit from another’s unfortunate is Shabazz Napier for the Portland Trail Blazers.

WIth Damian Lillard going down and announced as out for today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Napier will slide into a slightly bigger role with the Portland team.

shooting guard

DeMar DeRozan ($9,100)

Oh yeah, and about Kyle Lowry being out – it’s time to play DeMar DeRozan.

After experiencing somewhat of a small slump toward the back end of December, DeRozan has started to lift his game again ever since racking up those 74 fantasy points against the Bucks.

Since then, he’s managed 56.6, 38.0, and 51.6, and things look positive today against the Miami Heat.

C.J. McCollum ($7,300)

The ‘captain obvious’ play today is C.J. McCollum, who is always a great play when Lillard is missing from the Portland team.

McCollum, who sits at the 2-spot works behind Lillard and is always more than happy to take a backseat to Lillard’s scoring. However, with the leader of the team missing today, McCollum will step into bigger shoes and carry some of the scoring load that is left behind.

small forward

Brandon Ingram ($7,000)

One of the less obvious plays of the day here is Brandon Ingram.

While the point guard and shooting guard positions almost fill themselves out today, the small forward position is a little tricky. You could pay up for Paul George, or you can save some cash and play Brandon Ingram, who has shown glimpses of potential lately. He scored 41.8 fantasy points against Charlotte two games ago and now looks to continue scoring well with Lonzo Ball back in the team and running a fast-paced lineup.

Evan Turner ($4,400)

Evan Turner might be another player who sees a production boost today with Lillard missing from the lineup.

Turner hasn’t been playing amazing basketball by any means, but he is slowly starting to get his game together – as seen by two 30+ fantasy scores recently. There should be a little more opportunity for Turner to carry the ball and create some opportunities today.

power forward

Aaron Gordon ($7,900)

Aaron Gordon has been carrying some of the load in Orlando lately.

He’s seeing plenty of minutes on the court and this usually translates straight into fantasy points for the big man from the Magic.

However, it’s not just that, he’s been showcasing some of his scoring potential with scores of 54.9 and 43.1 in his last four games. And how could we forget the whopping 78 points he racked up in a game in late November – that potential is always there with Gordon.

Serge Ibaka ($5,900)

Serge Ibaka makes for an interesting play at just $5,900 today.

The best thing about playing Ibaka is that even if he has a bad scoring night, he can still score well. Ibaka has incredible versatility in the sense that he can pretty much score 20+ points from rebounds and blocks alone.

He’s also been quite consistent lately, which is a result of his versatility.

Julius Randle ($7,000)

Picking a center is difficult today.

But one thing is for certain, Randle is in a favorable matchup against the Kings. The Sacramento team gives up plenty of rebounds to their opposition and Randle will be there all night to grab those opportunities.
