Heading into round 4 of the AFL Premiership we have seen some interesting results across the whole competition. With that being said, since bouncing back from an upset loss in round 1, Adelaide have looked like one of the teams to beat so far this year. On the other hand, while only winning once, Collingwood have impressed with some solid performances against strong teams. This round 4 clash is set up to be a cracker – so why not get involved with Moneyball’s $10,000 GPP Special?!
Eddie Betts ($6,500)
Electric Eddie showed glimpses of brilliance last week and looks just about ready to fire this week. Look for him to run the Pies defence ragged and pounce on any loose ball crumbs. I’m banking on Betts to explode for a big score this week and at this price looks great value!
Josh Thomas ($5,600)
Coming off a career-best performance kicking 5 goals 0, Thomas looks like a good value play again here. Although he faces a tougher task this week, the young gun looks like he should be up to it. The Pies may have finally found an out and out goal kicker in their forward line so get this guy in your side before his price rises.
Rory Sloane ($9,600)
After a relatively quiet game by his standards, Sloane will want to bounce back in emphatic style this week. With so many high quality midfielders in action he looks like the best value to me at this price.
Steele Sidebottom ($10,300)
Sidebottom has been one of the form players of the competition, averaging 111 fantasy points to start this season. He is coming off a huge performance against Carlton where he racked up 34 disposals to go with 3 goals. Look for him to win plenty of ball for Collingwood and will need to be at his best against a strong Crows side.
Jeremy Howe ($8,100)
Howe will have lots of work to do coming up against a strong Adelaide forward line. He’s been in decent form this year and I think he will see plenty of ball coming out of their defensive line.
Rory Laird ($9,400)
The ‘other’ Rory of this extremely strong Crows side, Laird has been on fire this season. Racking up well over 30 disposals each match this year, you need him in your side this week. Wins plenty of hard ball and is certainly not afraid of laying on plenty of tackles.
Sam Jacobs ($9,000)
Tough to split the two ruckman’s in this match. Brodie Grundy has outperformed Jacobs in the lead up to this contest. In saying that, at a cheaper price Jacobs looks a little better value and will hopefully leave you some extra cash to spend up on your midfielders.
