Round six kicks off with a local derby at Allianz Stadium where the Sydney Roosters take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The Roosters are strong favourites and should take the two points, but the Bunnies welcome back dynamic winger Richard Kennar. I’m predicting the Roosters to win convincingly.

HOOKER

Damien Cook ($7,700) and Jake Friend ($7,300) are the two starting hookers this week. They both come with a similar price tag but I can’t see Cook producing the attacking stats he has throughout the opening rounds. Jake Friend will be my starting hooker.

FORWARDS

Cameron Murray ($7,200) has been named this week but has recently withdrawn with a hamstring injury. Keep an eye out on who will replace him in the starting side. Sia Siua Taukeiaho ($5,400) could be a good choice this week if you’re looking to save some of your cap in the forwards. I like Ryan Matterson’s ($6,600) chances of crossing the line again this week while Thomas Burgess ($6,100) should be a great option if you’re looking for some consistency. Angus Crichton ($9,300) and Boyd Cordner ($7,800) are the two 80 minute options this week.

HALF

It will be difficult to ignore the Roosters’ halves in this match. Luke Keary ($8,100) has been producing the best output of the four candidates although we might be able to find some value in Cooper Cronk ($6,400). His output has been poor in recent weeks although it would surprise me if he doesn’t score an attacking stat or two against the weak Rabbitohs. I’ll be running with Cronk this week.

OUTSIDE BACKS

All aboard the Roosters’ outside backs for this contest. I don’t think I could take a punt on Reece Robinson ($4,300) due to his poor output, although Joseph Manu ($5,000) is more likely to cross the line and is also a cheap candidate. Blake Ferguson’s ($7,500) base output will help him justify his price tag this week and James Tedesco ($9,200) is extremely hard to ignore against a weak Rabbitohs’ outfit. If you aren’t predicting the Chooks to dominate this match, Richard Kennar ($5,700) is producing a good output and should be the preferred option from the Bunnies.
