Round 19 kicks off this Thursday with the Parramatta Eels playing the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. This is expected to be a high scoring affair with both teams struggling defensively throughout the season. I’m tipping the Bulldogs to take the two points.

We won’t need to fork out too much in the hooker position for this match. Kaysa Pritchard ($5,800) and Michael Lichaa ($5,900) are the two starters this week and neither will take up too much of your cap. They’re both coming off a run of good form but I’ll be running with the Bulldogs’ candidate in this contest. He’s more likely to produce an attacking stat to boost his output.

Rhyse Martin ($6,200) should be in everyone’s team. He’s the goal kicker for the Bulldogs and should easily justify his mid-range price. Marata Niukore ($4,100) is the value pick; he’s been producing an output superior to his worth while being named in the starting side. Siosaia Vave ($4,300) may be cheap but his form average is boosted by a rare try scored during last week’s contest. Daniel Alvaro ($8,000) and Nathan Brown ($8,900) are the base stats beasts in this match and at least one of these guys will be appearing in my team. Aiden Tolman ($5,900) is my pick of the mid-rangers. He’s base output has risen since the exit of Aaron Woods from the club.

Lachlan Lewis ($3,500) is a great choice in the halves. He’s currently priced at bottom dollar and is easily providing the most value out of all the candidates available.

Don’t be afraid to choose the cheaper outside backs if you’ve decided to spend large in the forwards. Reimis Smith ($3,700) has been scoring well for his price while Kerrod Holland’s ($5,000) base output is respectable for someone who won’t significantly dent your salary cap. Jarryd Hayne ($6,600) is in brilliant form and seems to be the go-to man for the Parramatta Eels. Consider him if you think the Eels will score a few tries against the Doggies.
