Round 21 will kick off with the Canterbury Bulldogs hosting the Brisbane Broncos. The boys from Brisbane are in great form and should be too good for the Doggies. There’s a little uncertainty with this match but I’m expecting the Broncos to win convincingly.
Andrew McCullough ($7,000) and Michael Lichaa ($6,000) are the two starting hookers in this match up. They’ve been producing a similar output in recent weeks so I’m taking the risk on the cheaper option in Lichaa.
All eyes will be on the Bulldogs’ forwards as David Klemmer will be absent from this week’s match. Danny Fualalo ($4,500) is the cheapest of the forwards and may benefit from Klemmer’s absence. Aiden Tolman ($6,500) has been producing an output superior to his worth and shouldn’t be ignored this week. Rhyse Martin ($7,100) surprisingly comes with a little risk this week as he may not benefit too much from goal kicking points although he too could benefit from Klemmer’s absence. Matthew Lodge ($6,900) and Tevita Pangai Junior ($7,700) are the two Broncos’ forwards I’ll be adding to my pack for this match.
The two Bulldogs’ halves come with cheap price tags although it’s very difficult to include them into our sides for this contest. Lachlan Lewis ($3,800) is probably the only worth considering if you’d prefer to spend big in other postiions. Anthony Milford ($6,800) has been in good form in recent weeks and I can see him producing a handful of attacking stats against the Doggies. He’ll be my half for this contest.
I’m not going to bother with the Bulldogs’ candidates as I can’t see the Broncos’ defense being broken too often. Jordan Kahu ($4,800) is the cheapest of the Broncos’ candidates who picked up the kicking duties during last week’s match. He could be a nice value pick if he continues. James Roberts ($7,100) seems to have benefited from his Origin appearance and will be my first picked outside backs. Kotoni Staggs ($4,900) may be coming from the interchange but his base output makes him a safety pick who could score well if he jags an attacking stat.
