After an extremely poor display in the test series, the Aussies will look to bounce back in the shorter format of the game, beginning with the series opener in Sydney on Saturday. The selectors have rung the changes with our ODI specialists coming in and hoping we can turn the tables on what will be a strong Indian line-up.

Moneyball has $2,000 up for grabs so lets take a look at some of the key players for Saturday’s match.

Aaron Finch ($8,000)

It’s no secret that Finch had a test series to forget against India however his record speaks for itself in white ball cricket. The Australian ODI captain will look to bounce back and I am expecting him to do so in big fashion. He thrives in this version of the game and if he can get through the early stages of his innings, a big score will present itself.

Shikhar Dhawan ($7,000)

Another short-form specialist, Dhawan was overlooked for the test series however his ODI numbers are extremely impressive. With an average a tick over 45 and a strike rate above 90, Dhawan is going to be a dangerous player this series. He dominated the Australian bowling attack in the recent T20s and has always performed well in Australia.

Jason Behrendorff ($6,100)

Behrendorff has been in awesome form in the BBL and will offer the Aussies a genuine swing bowling option. He is consistent and more often than not you know what your going to get. He may get some help from the SCG pitch and could be a good value play.

Kuldeep Yadav ($8,000)

Showed his talent in the final test match at this very ground picking up a 5 wicket haul. Has been tipped to be India’s next long-term spinner and has an outstanding ODI record. In just 33 matches he has picked up 67 wickets at an average of just over 20. Clearly enjoyed bowling on the SCG pitch and looks a top pick for Saturday’s match.

Glenn Maxwell ($6,800)

The Big Show has been piling on the runs in all forms of cricket lately and loves the big stage. He will want to perform as best he can here to continue to push himself into the test match frame. We know the damage he can do with the bat while his mid-innings overs are going to be crucial in limiting India’s total.
