NBA $4,000 Thursday Special
The NBA regular season is coming to a close with just under a week remaining. Don’t miss out on one of your last chances to claim the 4,000 Thursday special. Today’s 12-game slate has a lot to be excited about and it will be one of the best days of fantasy we have had for a while.
Ben Simmons $9,800
Atlanta is one of the league’s best matchups at point guard and there are very few players in the league more aware of that than Ben Simmons. Simmons has absolutely dominated the Hawks this season, averaging more than 56 fantasy points per game. Not only that, but Simmons recently threw some shade at Trae Young and his Rookie of the Year case, so he has even more reason to ball out in this one today.
Shaq Harrison $6,400
Shaq Harrison is loving the starting gig for the Chicago Bulls. Harrison is averaging over 32 fantasy points per game over his 7 starts, which includes a very solid 36.2 fantasy points against today’s matchup, the Washington Wizards. Shaq Harrison has a small injury cloud over his head today, so keep an eye on his status. However, he should be playing and he should be fit enough to post a strong score in today’s contest.
Delon Wright $7,300
Mike Conley is doubtful for today’s game due to an ankle concern, which most likely means Delon Wright will be thrust into the starting role once again. He had 45.6 in his last game filling the starting role and has averaged 43 fantasy points a game across his last 3 games as a starter. If Conley is out, then Delon should be in.
Bradley Beal $9,600
Bradley Beal has slowed down quite a bit of late, but today could be an end to that with a great matchup against the Chicago Bulls. I don’t need to tell you how bad the Bulls are, but I will let you know that Beal has averaged 53 fantasy points a game this year against the Bulls and his lowest score against Chicago is 49.4. It seems he really likes this matchup and I see no reason not to add Beal to your lineup today.
Troy Brown Jr $4,600
This time of the year is such a fun time for fantasy. Half of the names that pop up consistently across the final 3 weeks wouldn’t have even been thought of earlier in the year. Guys like Shaq Harrison and Troy Brown Jr are the perfect example. Both guys are late season starters for tanking teams and today they both have great matchups (against each other). Brown played 42.4 minutes in his last game and scored 36.9 fantasy points. Brown is starting, should play big minutes, he has a good matchup and he’s under $5K. All of the signs say you should have in your lineup for today’s Thursday Monster.
JaKarr Sampson $3,700
JaKarr Sampson won’t start today, but he still looks like a nice play. The Knicks are resting almost anyone that matters, which means minutes for their deep bench guys. Sampson has played 24 minutes a game over his last four games, with an average of 22 fantasy points across that span. It won’t set the world alight, but this is a nice value play for at basically the minimum.
Aaron Gordon $7,400
My prediction today is that Aaron Gordon bounces back from a poor game to have another big one against the Knicks. Gordon averages 37 fantasy points a game this season, with a very solid 40.4 performance in their last meeting. The Knicks are also much weaker at forward since then, with anyone of note sitting out to help aid the tank-for-zion-job.
Nikola Vucevic $9,500
Nikola Vucevic’s case is eerily similar to Aaron Gordon’s. He’s had a slow run of late, but his record against the Knicks makes him a good play today. He had 59.2 in their last meeting and 56.5 in the meeting before that. Against a depleted Knicks, there’s no reason why we won’t see a repeat of that performance today.
